Sustainability

Environmental protection and commitment to sustainable development

We respect and make an effort to improve the environmental and social environment in which we operate. We promote human rights and encourage social inclusion.

We seek to be an agent of wellbeing through social and environmental contributions. To achieve this, we develop socio-environmental programs and projects that meet the needs identified in our interest groups, with the goal of creating a positive and quantifiable impact and, at the same time, contributing to the sustainability of the business based on best practices and international standards.

Through our sustainability principles and commitments, we have kicked off a Strategic Sustainability Plan based on the implementation of projects and impact assessments.

Local promoters of sustainable development

Terminales Marítimas del Sureste (TMS) is certified in accordance with the standards of the National Ports service. It also carried out its activities through an integrated quality, environment, and workplace health and safety system.

Lower power consumption

TMS has three photovoltaic solar installations, resulting in a peak maximum output of 41KW. The annual power production of the installation is 57,869 kWh.

Sustainable Development Goals

We have signed the Spanish World Pact, which is a UN initiative that invites companies and organizations to align their strategies and operations to the Ten Universal Principles for human rights, labor standards, environment and the fight against corruption.

We contributed directly to some of the 160 targets of the 17 SDGs, and indirectly to others of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).

Safety, environment and quality policies

Since TMS is involved in the stevedoring, loading, unloading, transfer and storage of containers and Ro-Ro at Alicante Port, it strives to make sure stakeholders are completely satisfied with the service.

TMS has adopted the quality, environment and health and safety policies of Aleatica S.A.U. as though they were its own, based on the following environmental guidelines:
